In the year 2019, I arrived in Beijing in pursuit of my dreams to do my master's degree in international business at the Central University of Finance and Economics. The experience at the school was full of learning. The professors and classmates always supported me and encouraged me to go beyond my limits, and the program gave me the knowledge to improve my background. Despite the unfortunate pandemic situation, I decided to stay in school, which gave me a new perspective and inspired me to spend more time in China.

During my last year at school, I found a couple of internships in the city that were complementary to my studies and also gave me the opportunity to explore the real job market. I have been interested in China's innovation and technology for a long time. With my expertise, I got the chance to join EqualOcean as a marketing specialist. This is an investment research company and information service provider with a focus on the technology, automotive and consumer internet sectors in China. Through this experience, I had the opportunity to meet good colleagues and get an understanding of the work culture and fast pace of companies in China.

In the meantime, I also became a part of the startup community in Beijing and got in touch with interesting entrepreneurs and projects that made my mind light up with a lot more opportunities to explore. So I joined Startup Grind Greater China as a volunteer. Startup Grind is a community of self-starters, and I helped them with some events and marketing activities. Later, before the end of my studies, I joined the team of Founders Lair, a German startup in Beijing, where I developed and implemented the international marketing and community strategy.

The school experience and work opportunities in China provided me with skills that have enriched me as a person and a professional. As a result, I found a full-time job as a content and community manager at Kuaishou Technology when I finished my master's degree. Working for one of the largest Internet companies in China has been a challenging but fulfilling experience, as it has allowed me to connect my region with China and put my previous experience and knowledge into practice.

Later, in 2022, I embarked on a new journey. I decided to move to Shenzhen, Guandong Province. This city, known as the Silicon Valley in China, is full of light and technology, I was amazed by the amount of technology companies and its tall buildings that wash the city every night with splendid colors. While in Shenzhen, I continued my work experience as Marketing Manager at EcoFlow Technology, a Shenzhen born company in the green and solar energy industry. Currently, I am in charge of the planning and implementation of the marketing strategy for the Latin American market.

These four years in China have brought more life-changing opportunities to me, living in Beijing, a historic and vibrant city, and Shenzhen, a modern and bright city. Undoubtedly, the day I arrived at CUFE was the beginning of an amazing and enlightening experience that brought to me great opportunities and a new world view.
